This week’s project took us to Wannanup, Mandurah, where we teamed up with our sister biz, Love Building Co, to transform a basic pool house into a dreamy slice of Beverly Hills—complete with palm trees, pink flamingos, and that iconic stripey ceiling.

The Vision: From LA to WA

Our client, Vanessa, had just returned from a holiday in Los Angeles where she stayed at the famous Beverly Hills Hotel—a place known for its old-Hollywood glamour, lush palms, and signature pink-and-green palette. It’s the kind of hotel that greets you like a movie star the moment you arrive.

When Vanessa got home, she wanted to bring that magic into her outdoor space.

Cue the transformation.

Inside the Makeover: Flamingos, Stripes & Decking Delight

The pool house was already standing but an empty shell—no flooring, plain walls, and no personality. That’s where we came in.

🎨 First up, we painted the entire interior and exterior in crisp, fresh tones.

💗 Then, we went bold: hand-painted pink and green stripes on the ceiling, inspired by the hotel’s iconic colours.

🌴 The back wall was lined with Gyprock, ready for Vanessa’s fun decals—palm trees and flamingos, of course!

🪵 To finish the space, composite decking was laid inside, adding warmth, texture, and a polished feel.

It was hot. Really hot. With temps soaring past 30°C and no aircon inside, we were melting—but totally in love with the vision coming to life.
